Freda’s expertise in caring for works of art was on display recently when she was interviewed live on BBC Radio 4 World at One. The Bayeux Tapestry will be on loan to the UK later this year and Freda was consulted about how such a fragile and valuable object would be moved. She detailed the meticulous planning and care that would be taken and said that our highly trained conservators, registrars and fine art technicians are very experienced in safely transporting works of art.
