The first European standard on the management of cultural collections* was published recently with Freda as the UK Expert Representative on the committee. With many years’ experience of the subject and as the author of ‘Museum Collections Management: A Handbook‘, Freda was well-placed to take part in drafting the document, which is intended to serve as a guide to best practice.
