Commissioned by Chichester District Council, Matassa Toffolo produced a detailed report on the Hussey Bequest at Pallant House Gallery. The cultural significance and use of the Bequest was analysed and assessed. In 1982, Walter Hussey, Dean of Chichester Cathedral from 1955 to 1977, bequeathed his important private holding of 20th century British art to the Gallery as its founding collection.
